Return & Refund Policy

This Return & Refund Policy applies to purchases made through the Babilone Perfumes online store.

1. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

If you qualify as a consumer under EU law, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase without giving any reason within 14 days.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day on which:

  • you, or

  • a third party designated by you (other than the carrier)

receive the product.

You may also exercise your right of withdrawal between the date of placing the order and the date of receiving the product.

2. How to Exercise the Right of Withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision by a clear and unequivocal statement, sent for example:

  • by e-mail, or

  • by post.

You may use the model withdrawal form at the end of this policy, but this is not mandatory.

The burden of proof that the withdrawal was exercised within the deadline lies with the customer.

3. Returning the Product

If you withdraw from the contract:

  • You must return the product without undue delay, and no later than 14 days from the date on which you notified us of your withdrawal.

  • The return deadline is met if you send the product before the 14-day period expires.

Return costs

  • The customer bears the direct cost of returning the product, unless we expressly agree otherwise.

  • We do not accept:

    • cash-on-delivery returns,

    • postage-due returns.

Only products returned to the official return address listed above can be refunded.

4. Refunds

If you withdraw from the contract, we will refund all payments received, including:

  • the purchase price of the product, and

  • the standard delivery cost.

Refunds are made:

  • within 14 days from the date we receive your withdrawal notice,

  • using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless you expressly agree otherwise.

Exceptions

  • Additional costs incurred because you chose a delivery method more expensive than the standard option are not refundable.

  • We may withhold the refund until:

    • we have received the returned product, or

    • you provide proof that the product has been sent back,
      whichever occurs first.

No additional fees will be charged for the refund.

5. Diminished Value of Returned Products

You are only liable for any diminished value of the product if it results from handling beyond what is necessary to establish:

  • the nature,

  • the characteristics, and

  • the functioning of the product.

We reserve the right to deduct compensation for diminished value where applicable.

6. Products Excluded from the Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • sealed products which, for health or hygiene reasons, cannot be returned once unsealed after delivery (including perfumes if the protective seal or packaging has been opened),

  • personalized or custom-made products,

  • perishable goods or goods with a short shelf life,

  • digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, once performance has begun with your consent,

  • any other products excluded under applicable EU consumer protection laws.

If the protective packaging of a hygiene-sensitive product has not been opened, the right of withdrawal may still be exercised under the general rules.
